• What are the books about?

  • All our stories focus on real-world activities. They showcase the excitement that celebrating Christmas or visiting family can bring to a child. The Books tab contains a more detailed summary of each story.

• How customized are the images and story?

  • The number of family members is customizable: you choose whether there's one or two children, and one or two parental figures.
    For each person, you personalize the gender, hair color, and skin tone.
    The story is personalized to include the child(ren)'s name(s) and the nickname(s) for the parental figure(s).
    

• What size is the book?

  • The book is 6 inches wide and 9 inches high. The stories are 20-21 pages in length.

• What age group are the books for?

  • The books are for children ages 2 to 7. Small children will enjoy the books because the stories rhyme and have word repetition to help them learn to read. Older children will enjoy learning about the places and situations presented in the stories.

• Will the books work for all types of families?

  • Yes: the books are designed for utmost family flexibility. Since the images and names of every character are selected by you, any family structure can be represented. You can choose to have one parent throughout the book to represent a single parent family, or you can have two parents of either gender and any complexion to represent other forms of non-traditional families.

• What if I don't know answers to some of the questions on the order form?

  • Our story was designed for maximum customization while not requiring the purchaser to know every detail of the child's life. To that end, you will find most questions are very easy to answer. If you feel uncomfortable providing the answers, we suggest you tell the child's guardians of your desire to purchase a customizable book for their child. They would likely provide you any needed information.

• How well are the books made?

  • All the books are professionally printed here in the United States. Your book will be hardbound in a quality cover. The pages are made of heavy, high quality paper. The look and feel of the books is comparable to any standard children's book.

• How long will it take to receive my order?

  • You can get your order in as few as 8 business days by selecting USPS Priority Mail for shipping. We customize and print your book in 5 business days. Priority delivers anywhere in the U.S. in 3 days.

• What are shipping costs and times?

  • We offer USPS Priority Mail with Delivery Confirmation which costs $5 per book and delivers in 2-3 days plus printing and processing.

• Do I have to pay sales tax?

  • We are a business licensed and operating in the state of California, so if you live in California you must pay state sales tax. If you live elsewhere, you do not have to pay sales tax.

• What methods of payment do you accept?

  • We use Google Checkout for our E-Commerce services. Through this service you can pay with a credit card or with money from your bank account.

• Is your payment information area secure?

  • Yes: Our site is running High-grade Encryption services (AES-256) for your protection. Further, all of our transactions are through Google Checkout and are digitally signed and encrypted.

• Will the information I provide for personalization purposes ever be used for anything else?

  • No. We value your privacy and only use your personalized information to create your book.

• What is your return policy?

  • We will happily accept any returns for manufacturing defects within 30 days of shipment and replace the defective book. We cannot accept returns due to incorrect personalization inputs, so please double check the names and personalized data you enter.

• Why does my browser say that your site is not trusted?

  • Don't worry! Our site certificate is valid and if you use it, you will take advantage of AES-256 encryption to secure your session with us.
    
    If you see this warning it simply means that you are running a browser that does not have the root certificate for our SSL Certificate Authority (CA) installed by default.
    
    Most browsers (Listed Here) do come with our CA root certificate installed. However, a few notable browsers such as Google Chrome and Microsoft Internet Explorer do not currently come shipped with our CA root certificate.
    
    For those of you running IE or Chrome you can install the StartCom Root Certificate here or simply select to continue using our existing certificate and your browser will utilize the SSL encryption while displaying a small warning.
